This morning at 10:07 my dad passed away.  Judy got a call from the nurse on Friday night saying that Dad had not been eating for two days; he was basically unresponsive.  So we spent a lot of time Saturday and Sunday with him, but he never opened his eyes.  The staff made him comfortable, but he didn't eat or drink anything.  He lost an incredible amount of weight and finally stopped breathing this morning.  I found out via email - how many life-shattering things I've discovered through email...  I'm taking 3 bereavement days and then returning to work on Monday.  Bob is on his way home from Oklahoma.  I went down to Maris Grove and then came home at around 7:30.
